Tent Rocks (Kasha Katuwe) National Monument

The Kasha-Katuwe National Monument, which is 8 miles from the Town of Cochiti Lake, was established in 2001 to protect the unique geological features - tent rocks or hoodoos.  There are nice picnic facilities and two trails in the park.  The Cave Loop Trail is relatively flat and is a loop through massive tent rocks and includes many cliff views.  The 1.5 mile Slot Canyon Trail goes through a deep, narrow, and photogenic slot canyon then climbs 800 feet to spectacular mountain and hoodoo views.

The Cochiti Golf Club is an 18 championship hole facility designed by Robert Trent Jones, Jr.  The desert mountain views are great and the course is a pleasure for golfers of all skill levels.  They have a comfortable atmosphere and friendly staff.  The clubhouse is located about a mile past the convenience store.
