This
month's featured destination is Kasha-Katuwe
Tent Rocks National Monument. These unusual formations are within
minutes of Cochiti Lake below the dam towards the Pueblo de Cochiti. These
cone-shaped tent rock formations are the products of volcanic erruptions
that occurred several million years ago and left pumice, ash and tuff
deposits over 1,00 feet thick.
