RESOLUTION 2007-7

A Resolution Concerning the use of Cochiti Lake as a Public Transit Stop Location

Whereas; the County of Sandoval has received Federal Transit Administration funds for rural transit services through the New Mexico Department of Transportation; and

Whereas; the County of Sandoval is providing the required local funds for this service; and

Whereas: the County of Sandoval has contracted with the Mid-Region Transit District to oversee the day-to-day operations of this service; and

Whereas; The Town of Cochiti Lake will be one of the designated stops of this service; and

Whereas: this rural transit service will provide the Town of Cochiti Lake and Sandoval County residents with access to medical, educational and training services; employment and employment opportunities; and

Whereas: this rural transit service will provide transport to the Sandoval County/US550 Rail Runner station and to the Sandoval County Health Commons.

Therefore Be It Resolved by the Assembly of the Town of Cochiti Lake:

That the Town of Cochiti Lake supports the providing of rural transit services in Sandoval County, and approves the use of the Town as a stop location for this rural transit service.

DULY ADOPTED  10_day of March, 2007 by the Assembly of the Town of Cochiti Lake at a meeting thereof; at which time a quorum was present,  4  voting for and _0__voting against.
